Do you use AI to edit?
No. Every line is read and edited by a human editor. Your manuscript is never uploaded to an AI tool or used to train one.
Will my book still sound like me?
Yes. We fix what trips the reader up and leave your voice alone. Larger suggestions come as comments, so nothing changes without your say.
Is my manuscript kept confidential?
Always. We're glad to sign an NDA, and we never share your work or use it as a sample without your written permission.
How long does it take?
A proofread usually takes a few days. A full line edit of a 50,000-word book takes about two weeks. You'll get an exact date with your quote.
What files do you work with?
Microsoft Word with Track Changes, or Google Docs in Suggesting mode. You get both a tracked version and a clean copy.
Do I have to pay everything up front?
No. You see a free edited sample before you pay anything. Then you pay 50% to start, and we send your first edited chapter early so you can check the work. You pay the balance when the full edit is finished. Books over 60,000 words can be split into more milestones.
How do I pay?
By card, securely online. Your quote comes with an invoice number and amount; use the "Pay an invoice" button to pay it. You get an emailed receipt for every payment.
